Belt Fasteners and Connecting Pins

U30 Series

	The Safety System offers plate material of stainless steel and staple material of sprint steel. The plate and staple design and configuration have been optimised through rigourous testing. The splice provides a very strong connection and exceptional service life.
	The MATO connecting pins are a specially developed stainless steel cable and armour wrap. Standard: e.g P1S Long Life: e.g. P1C
	The fasteners are produced in 200mm long strips, packed for the standard belt widths of 1000 and 1200mm. The fasteners are also available iwth a sstainless steel staple for corrosive applications. Stainless versions: e.g U35S

U30+ Series

The fastener can be supplied as a sealed version, which minimises sifting of the fine materials during conveying. It’s possible to grease the loop are in order to increase the lifetime of the connecting pin.

For safe and easy installation it is recommended to use the screw connecting pins for the sealed fasteners. Standars: e.g P1SG Long life: e.g. P1CG

Belt Lacing Machines

The MATO Belt lacing machines are available with manual or a pneumatic lacer and the clamping frames are available in sizes to suite the required belt width. Both types of lacing machines are designed to install the full range of fastener sizes in the U30 System. Reliability and low maintenance is guaranteed due to the assembly of quality engineered parts.

Manual Lacer: Advancing and fastener installation is performed manually

Pneumatic lacer: Advancing is performed manually and fastener installation is performed pneumatically

MATO recommends system accessories which optimise the installation of the Safety System U30 and increases the service life of the splice.

	Belt Skiver If the belt cover is 2mm or thicker, it is recommended to skive leaving 1-1.5mm of cover above the carcass. The belt skiver is used in the clamping frame of the belt lacing machine. Various skiver blades are available

Wavemaster kit

Advantages:

Use the patented MATO systems to prevent waves and bows in the belt. The tensioned wire rope will eliminate edge stress, improve connecting of the two spliced ends and minimise scraper wear.
