Loading Points

Multotec Rubber Loading Points are used to conveyor transfer points in place of conveyor idlers. These innovative Multotec Rubber Loading Points comprise low friction impact bars secured to a mild steel frame

The low friction impact bar comprises rubber compounded specifically for high energy absorption with a 10mm thick Multoslip low friction polyethylene top cover. These two materials are able to operate in temperatures of up to 85◦C and withstand the presence of oil, grease and most industrial chemicals present at these locations

Designed to take advantage of rubber’s elastic property, the Multotec Loading Points provide increased belt life by absorbing the energy of ore transfer. The low friction between the conveyor and the impact bars minimises wear on the underside of the conveyor belt

Multotec Loading Points control the material flow reducing bouncing and minimising spillage. There are no moving parts or spring mechanisms resulting in lower maintenance requirements

The Multotec Loading Point mild steel frame is custom made to suit the steel conveyor structure of stringer section, with removable sides for ease of installation

Multotec Loading Points are available in standard lengths of 1300mm. Shorter lengths can be manufactured for specific application requirements

The manufacture of a Multotec Loading Point longer than 1300mm will require special engineering to accommodate impact idlers between the low friction bars. These lift the conveyor belt off the low friction bars when the conveyor operates without material. It is not advisable for bars to be longer than 1300mm as too much heat build up can occur and could damage the conveyor or the Multoslip

  • The standard Multotec low friction bar system uses standard materials and a T-bolt attachment that is secured in an aluminium insert. A tapered feed end is supplied, with both ends tapered for bi-directional conveyors
  • Multotec has low friction bars for underground use. These comprise of black anti-static Multoslip top cover, a fire retardant rubber compound and a loose clamp attachment system where a curved T-bolt fits into a groove in the underside of the bar
