Benjamin Sibanda ( General Manager of MATO Division)
Name: Benjamin Sibanda
Position at Multotec: General Manager of MATO Division
Started at Multotec: 2005
Business Philosophy: If something is worth doing, do it to the best of your ability and strive to do it right the first time, always. Otherwise, don’t even start.
Sibanda, who hails from Kempton Park, has been in his current position heading 16 staff and a two-shift system production plant since March 2015. He worked his way up to the position after proving himself more than apt as Inventory Clerk, a role which was specifically developed to cater to the recommendations of the TUV ISO 2001 audit in 2006. From there on his promotions were swift, appointed to Inventory Controller in 2008 and to Materials Manager responsible for total management of materials and internal sales departments in 2010. 2013 saw Sibanda forming the operations division as Operations Manager, a role he fulfilled well until his promotion in 2015 to his current position.
Qualifying with his N4 in Electrical Engineering in 1996 was only the beginning of Sibanda’s educational growth, and he achieved additional qualifications and accreditations over the next 19 years. These are: 2003: Production and Operations Management; 2005: Basics of Production & Inventory Management; 2007: Principles of Production & Inventory Management; 2013: Management Fundamentals (Supervision); 2014; Leadership Development; and 2015: Management Development.
