Multotec SAG mill liners use rubber composite components to provide impact and wear resistance in all semi-autogenous milling applications.

Multotec uses specialised MilTraj software when designing your SAG mill liners. This ensures that the liner is appropriate to the mineral being processed as well as its wear rates!

We have supplied some of the world’s largest trommel screens including two SAG mill liner trommels 5 050 mm in diameter by 5 088 mm long with feed rates of 3 400 tons per hour!

Our SAG mill liners are custom designed to your application requirements. In applications that feature large ball and feed sizes as well as with large mill diameters, Multotec supplies MultoMet or HD MultoMet SAG mill liners and heavy-duty grate plates.

The MultoMet range includes ‘Hardox 500’ wear-resistant steel. This steel is fitted to the leading edge of the lifter bars and is embedded into the shell plates and head plates. This range of SAG mill liners improves impact and abrasion resistance.

The HD (Heavy Duty) MultoMet lifter bars include castings into the lifter bars that enable optimum H2A (Height-to-Angle) in the mill. These lifter bars also protect the top face of the lifters for maximum life.

Grate Plates:

Grate plates are available in a range of aperture sizes and configurations. Internal frames are designed for different SAG mill loads, and semi-overflow designs control the pulp level in the mill.

Multotec’s continuously invests on making its mill liners lighter, more efficient and more cost-effective. To this end, we’ve invested in mill trajectory modelling software.  

This software allows us to predict the influence of mill liner design on the trajectory of grinding media; and to analyse the wear rates of liners according to the mineral being processed.

This provides Multotec with a fundamental guideline when designing your SAG mill liners.
