Rotating Plate Divider / Dry Vezin Splitter
Rotating plate dividers (and dry vezin splitters) from Multotec are used for continuous or timed dry material splitting and are ideal for accurate sample division in bulk materials handling systems. It is suitable for both primary sampling and secondary division, and will take multiple cuts (up to 30 are possible) of primary samples or feed when applicable.
The rotating plate divider provides accurate and reproducible samples, offering adjustable ratio secondary and tertiary division to produce manageable composite sample sizes.
The rotating plate divider and vezin splitter are self-contained, robust units that are easily installed and retrofitted, with various sizes and models available, with between 1 to 4 bolt-on cutters possible to allow alternative splitting ratios of 4% to 20% or more to provide needed flexibility.
The units can be constructed from either mild carbon steel, VRN or 304 stainless steel for application in the harshest of mineral applications including iron ore, manganese, platinum, lithium and other highly abrasive hard rock minerals. The control voltage of the unit can also be optimised to customer requirements, with 110 V, 220 V or 24 Vdc options available.

- Cutter rotation of 0.38 - 0.45 m/sec in centre of cutting circle
- Minimum cutter width of 30 mm (50 mm for moist, sticky materials)
- Geared brake motor (0.37 kW – 1.5 kW power requirements)
- Mechanically very reliable with up to 99% availability
- Suitable for the most abrasive of materials
