Multotec supplies a complete range of pumps for medium and heavy duty slurry applications, including cyclone feed, spirals feed, mill discharge, tailings disposal, filter feed, effluent discharge and spillage.
Available with short lead times, our pumps are designed to efficiently transfer abrasive and corrosive slurries in wide range of industries, from mining and mineral processing to pulp and paper and wastewater treatment.
Our robust and durable slurry pump design incorporate specialised casings and wear-lining technologies to maximise uptime.
Multotec’s heavy-duty pump range is designed to transport highly-dense and corrosive slurries in a wide range of processing applications
The non-lined metal pump, gravel pump, is designed to increase wear performance & efficiently transport highly dense and corrosive slurries.
The Multotec MD metal pump range is a cost-effective solution for medium-duty slurry applications. The design allows for easy maintenance.
The Multotec TV sump pump is one of the world’s leading spillage pumps thanks to its high efficiencies and cost-effective designs.
Multotec’s VS Slurry Pump range is designed for slurry handling out-of-pit, tank or dam applications.

Your local Multotec specialists will work with you to determine the best slurry pump for your application. We’ll assess all aspects of your operation, with detailed considerations of your existing plant or application process, in order to provide the most cost-effective pump.
Multotec will custom-design an industrial pump for your application if necessary.
As slurries are abrasive by nature, it is important to choose a pump size that allows for slow running, extending the life of the pump.
Once you begin to exceed the pump’s maximum speed, it’s lifespan significantly decreases. Allow the pump to run as slowly as possible, to extend its life, but fast enough to keep solids from settling and clogging the lines.
One also needs to carefully consider the pump components used, such as the impeller size and design, material of construction, and discharge configurations to ensure the pump can handle wear caused by an extremely abrasive slurry.
Slurry pumps are large, durable pumps. They are larger than standard pumps and deliver more power, making them ideal for mineral processing environments. They are designed to be more robust and durable in order to handling abrasive, thick, often corrosive and solid-filled liquids.
The rugged centrifugal pump is the most common type of slurry pump. These make use of a rotating impeller, which moves the slurry.
