Social Responsibility

Multotec invests in the wider socio-economic environment to enhance, uplift and strengthen the communities that our employees, clients and suppliers come from.

We focus on nurturing and developing existing community projects, owned and successfully managed by relevant community leaders. This approach supports sustainability of these projects, and contributes to their overall success.

At Multotec, we believe that Socio-Economic Development is a conscious and focused investment in human potential. We are proud to engage in projects within the following sectors of the community:

  • Education
  • Health
  • Skills training
  • Underprivileged children
  • People with disabilities

The Multotec Group is proud to partner with a range of social upliftment projects making an impact in their communities. Read more about some of these below.

Multotec is committed to supporting the communities in which we operate. With our trusts and relationships, we are able to nurture and strengthen societies.

The Ikwezi Trust:

In order to provide for the promotion by the Group of black economic empowerment within the community and to increase broad-based and effective participation by black people as contemplated in the B-BBEE Act, 2003 as read with the BEE codes, the Ikwezi Trust was established in 2014.

The beneficiaries of the Trust are the Ikwezi Education Fund and local SA welfare and social upliftment organisations.

The Deed of Trust stipulates that all economic benefit derived in the entity shall be utilised solely for the benefit of black beneficiaries.

We achieve this by:

  • Awarding bursaries to black students pursuing specific fields of study which contribute to the scarce and critical skills set in the manufacturing sector, with selected Higher Education Institutions based in South Africa.
  • Selecting three qualifying local organisations which have, as their purpose and mandate, social upliftment and welfare objectives and which operate on a non-profit basis.
Multotec is committed to various social responsibility initiatives around the world. We aim to enhance, uplift and strengthen the community in which we operate.
