Multotec supplies the Conturbex screen scroll centrifuge to international mineral, chemical and industrial processing sectors. The state-of-the-art Conturbex Screen Scroll Centrifuge “scrolled” (or wormed) design is based on 60 years of centrifugal design experience from Siebtechnik.
Constructed from corrosion resistant steels, hastelloy or nickel, ideal for coal and sand processing, the easily replaceable segmented wedge wire screen Conidur®, the screen types and ample wear protection all translate to minimal maintenance requirements.
The unique construction of the screen scroll centrifuge inlet turns in the same direction as the screen drum, but at a small differential speed –ensuring a uniformed acceleration of the solids and eliminates imbalances in dewatering applications.
The transport screen scroll also acts as a control mechanism by regulating the solids’ sliding speed and retention time. Vibration isolation of the bearing housing from the structural steel support is conducted with rubber buffers. These eliminate 95% of all dynamic loads which would be transmitted to the support structure.
Models Available: H-Series (200 to 1 000 mm) and CX-Series (900 – 1 500 mm)

The screen scroll centrifuge consists of a drive component located in a bearing housing, the screen holding drum, the screen insert, the transport worm and the product housing enclosing the rotating parts.
Another advantage of the screen scroll centrifuge lies within the way the solids are handled on the screening element. It also allows the removal of fine impurities via a displacement wash through the thinning solids layer near the discharge end of the basket.
