67 Minutes for the voiceless – MWL Style

In true Madiba spirit, our MWL colleagues from the Pretoria, chose to dedicate their 67 minutes to caring for the voiceless — spending time at Wollies Animal Shelter in Hestea Park, Pretoria North.

Wollies Animal Shelter provides refuge for abandoned, neglected, and forgotten animals. With around 1 000 animals in their care at any given time, they go through approximately 1 500 kg of food every day. Their motto says it all:

“Rescue is not just a verb, it is a promise.”

Our team came together to collect and donate much-needed items from the Wollies wish list. Armed with supplies and big hearts, we visited the shelter and were proud to hand over the following:

  • 3 x 25 kg and 6 x 8 kg bags of dog pellet
  • 4 x 4 kg bags of cat pellets
  • 10 large tins of dog meat
  • 2 industrial brooms (for cleaning cages)
  • Plenty of warm blankets

Making it count – with Pieter in tow!

As we prepared for the visit and our 67 minutes of giving back, we were joined by none other than Pieter van der Walt, a proud MWL ambassador because that’s how we roll… we do things properly, MWL style.

In the words of Nelson Mandela:
“We can change the world and make it a better place... It is in YOUR hands to make a difference.”
