A learner's journey

Multotec’s Ronnie Ramolobeng shares his experiences as a member of the learnership programme.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Multotec family for introducing the learnership programme in our company. It is not only an honour but a privilege to be part of this rewarding experience. A special thanks, too, to Multotec management and staff members for providing us with support during the programme. It was tough to study while working but, with your support, we succeeded. It’s a great experience that I always share with my teammates.

I was a member of the first group of employees that participated in the learnership programme, specifically level 2 of Production Technology, in 2016. I also completed level 3 of Production Technology in 2017, and I am currently part of the 2021 Planning and Scheduling Learnership L4.

I worked as an Inventory Clerk before I joined the production team in 2018, working in CWM as an operator. Credit must go to all operators who gave me support during my first year in production. With this support – and my learnership experience – I have learned a lot.

I am grateful for the all knowledge gained through this programme, as knowledge is the power of success. Everything you read fills your head with new bits of information and you never know when it might come in handy. The more knowledge you have, the better-equipped you are to tackle any challenges you will ever face.

I can proudly say that I have the confidence to make changes and to take decisions to improve some of the processes in my work environment. I believe that respecting our work environment, our customers and ourselves is the foundation for a good attitude. I am proud that our team’s mission is to always provide the best service to our customers.
