Annual World Tuberculosis Day
To honour the day, Sr Queen from Work Force partnered with the Department of Health to arrange a wellness screening initiative for employees.
Multotec Wear Linings in Pretoria had the privilege of hosting four clinic sisters from the Department of Health, alongside Sr Queen from Work Force, who spent the day assisting employees with:
Blood pressure monitoring
Blood glucose (sugar) testing
Tuberculosis education and testing General wellness checks
The day began with a welcome session and an informative discussion on tuberculosis, which provided valuable insights and awareness around the disease.
Following the session, 36 employees were screened, making the initiative a great success. While blood tests may not have been everyone’s favourite part of the day, employees appreciated the opportunity to receive professional health advice and TB screening.
The initiative helped raise awareness about a well-known disease while encouraging employees to get tested and learn about prevention methods, symptoms, and the importance of early detection.
We look forward to hosting more wellness initiatives like this in the future.
