Since 2012, when Multotec Mozambique started operating, HDPE Piping projects has been behind some of its successes. Multotec Mozambique has just successfully completed another project at Jindal Mine, 90 km from Tete.
The project involved the supply and installation of HDPE and steel pipes for the mine expansion project involving a new spiral plant, new secondary DMS plant, new filter plant and new thickeners. Besides the piping for these plants, Multotec Mozambique also supplied the spirals and cyclones for the new plants in this expansion project.
Site establishment for the project started on the 25 of October 2019 with Mr Christo Erasmus leading a team of 15 Multotec Mozambique permanent employees and 13 contractors from the Chirodzi locality where the mine is situated. The project ran from 28 October 2019 to 6 of March 2020 when the testing of the pipelines had been successfully completed during commissioning.
