Baden Aniline and Soda Factory (BASF), through its Performance Materials division, proudly marks over 16 years of collaboration with Multotec, a leader in process technology solutions for mineral processing plants.
To commemorate this significant milestone, BASF announced a community initiative aimed at supporting local children in need.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, BASF donated over 1200 pairs of school shoes to Katlego Primary School in Daveyton, Gauteng and four other non-profit organisations supported by Multotec. Located in an impoverished area, Katlego Primary School is a no-fee institution where many families struggle to afford essential items such as new school shoes.
This initiative aims to alleviate some of the financial burden on parents and ensure that children can attend school with dignity and comfort. This campaign not only celebrates our long-standing partnership with Multotec but also recognises their commitment to community support and sustainability.
Providing essential school shoes to underprivileged children is one way of reducing the barriers they face in their daily activities and learning. Further, the aim is to educate the community and stakeholders about the importance of proper footwear for children’s health, well-being, and educational success, while highlighting the role of both BASF and Multotec in promoting social change.
“At BASF, we believe in not only driving innovation in our industry but also in making a positive impact in the communities we serve, that is why honouring our 16 plus years of partnership through social impact was a natural step for our organisation” said Oyewale Akeredolu at BASF.
“Our long-standing partnership with Multotec has always been about more than business; it’s about collaboration that leads to meaningful change. We are proud to support Katlego Primary School and other organisations that work tirelessly to uplift our youth.” This donation is an ongoing commitment of both BASF and Multotec to corporate social responsibility and community engagement. By providing essential resources to children in need, we hope to inspire a brighter future for the next generation.
