Bree Primary School library opening
On the 18th of March 2025, delegates from Multotec, including CEO Thomas Holtz, Lucky Maluleka, Sindile Gumbie and others, attended the opening of Bree Primary School’s newly upgraded library. This remarkable upgrade was generously sponsored by Multotec, with Education is our Future, an organisation dedicated to uplifting educational environments in South Africa. Together they transformed the once bleak, dark, unkempt, and unused space into a haven for learning.
Library opening celebration
Education is our Future was entrusted with the mandate to revitalise the library, and they have succeeded in creating a welcoming and bustling environment that promotes reading, research, and creativity. The learners showcased their creativity and enthusiasm through projects, including competitions where they created book front covers.
These were displayed alongside thoughtful book reviews, highlighting the library’s newfound role in fostering intellectual and creative growth.
Opening ceremony attendance
The library opening celebration featured Grade 2 and Grade 3 learners who read some stories from their favourite library books, along with a heartfelt performance by the school choir, adding joy and inspiration to the day.
Today, the library stands as a welcoming hub of learning, warmly embraced by the 1 100 children who eagerly explore the many new books available to them. As Multotec, we are pleased with this contribution as our aim is to turn tiny readers into big thinkers.
