Celebrating Our Multotec Way Champions: Quarter 4, 2021

We are pleased to announce the first group of Our Multotec Way Champions, who received nominations in this last quarter of 2021.

Well done to Dimakatso Selowa, Liza Minnaar, Graeme Smith, Roy Roche and Jeantelle Rust for living the behaviours and supporting our culture renovation. We are very proud of you all.

The Champions enjoyed a superb lunch with Exco colleagues and were provided with an opportunity to share stories and to network. We look forward to celebrating with the 2022 Champions, so we encourage our employees to submit their nominations.

Below are excerpts taken from the nominators’ submissions.

Liza Minnaar

Liza lives the Our Multotec Way philosophy in every way. She is patient, helpful and goes beyond the call of duty. She is caring and supportive of her colleagues professionally and personally. She is sensitive, confident and modest. She empowers others, coaching them and developing their skills.

Graeme Smith

Graeme is an inspiration, with a positive attitude that prompts those around him to be and do better. He always has a long-term view on relationships and does what he says he will do, creating trust. His client-centricity challenges those around him to change their narrative. He is always willing to hash out issues as they arise. He makes time to coach others, empowering them with the skills to make better decisions and giving them opportunities to work on a higher level.

Roy Roche

Roy encourages the team to be approachable and to care for each other. He enables an environment with a good work ethic and accountability. He holds regular check-ins with colleagues to ask them how they’re doing mentally, and to provide constant motivation and appreciation for the work they do. Roy embraced the Our Multotec Way project right from the start, discussing the philosophy with his team regularly.

Dimakatso Selowa

Dimakatso shows total commitment to her work, to her team and to her customers. She practices empathy and effective listening, building trust. She has accepted the challenge of working with the Our Multotec Way project and has implemented initiatives linked to it. She checks in with her colleagues during every meeting, and is extremely supportive of her colleagues, manager and customers. She is always wearing a smile and focuses on the positive.

Jeantelle Rust

Jeantelle coaches and develops the people around her, empowering them to perform. She has an “open door” policy, welcoming suggestions and input from her colleagues. She is always there for anyone that might need her assistance and attention. Her colleagues feel comfortable to be themselves when they’re with her. Over the years, she has mentored a number of colleagues and has inspired junior engineers to exceed their expectations for themselves. She always goes the extra mile.
