From learners to permanent employees

Below are stories of four learners who completed the Polymer Compound: Rubber Manufacturing L3 learnership while being placed and hosted by Multotec Rubber for their workplace learning. All learners have been absorbed permanently by Multotec Rubber as of April 1, 2023. This demonstrates that the knowledge and skills imparted to the learners met the required standards.

The job coaches and all who shared their knowledge and skills to make a better future for the learners are now part of the Multotec family permanently, and are appreciated. The greatest pride comes from learners who seize the opportunity and make the best of it for themselves.

Vusimuzi Evans Sibisi:

Vusimuzi Evans Sibisi did motor mechanics with Mitsubishi motors and started with Multotec for a learnership in Polymer Compounds last year. He was introduced to an environment that is focused on skills development for all its employees who are willing to further their skills. This expanded his curiosity to wonder what more he could learn. Vusimuzi is grateful to Thembisile Mvemve, Janine James, and the rest of the team. He had the chance to work alongside the HR team, which was the best experience for him since he never thought he might enjoy sitting behind a desk and making sure everyone is well taken care of.

Karabo Ntsoane:

I am Karabo Ntsoane, and I am thrilled to have joined Multotec Rubber. From the moment I stepped foot in the company, I was welcomed with open arms by everyone. I am impressed by the kindness, respect, and willingness of my colleagues to teach me all that they know about their jobs. What stood out for me the most is that, as a learner, I was given the platform to share my own ideas and insights on how to improve production and efficiency. I was amazed to see that my ideas were taken into consideration and implemented by the team. This made me feel valued and appreciated as a member of the team. As I continued with my learnership, I observed that Multotec Rubber provided numerous opportunities for career growth and development. I was thrilled to know that I was in the right place to develop my career and grow as a professional. I look forward to what the future holds for me at the company.

Gaone Moeng:

My name is Gaone Moeng, and I studied mechanical engineering at Taletso TVET College. I completed NATED Courses and followed that up with an N4 Supervisory Management course. In 2018, I had the opportunity to train at Bowler Plastic as an assistant mechanic.

Currently, I am working as a Polymer Compound learner at Multotec, and my journey here has been nothing short of fruitful. The warm and friendly welcome I received from everyone at Multotec Rubber has made my experience even more enjoyable.

I am especially grateful to Thembisile Mvemve, who gave me the chance to be part of the learnership, and to Multotec Rubber production manager Daniel Libisi, who has shown me what it means to be a great leader. It has been a privilege to work with him and his team, and I am excited about what the future holds for me at Multotec.

Lebogang Selekedi:

Hi, I'm Lebogang Selekedi, and I feel grateful to be part of the Multotec Rubber team. My learnership with them exposed me to an industry that I never thought I would be interested in, and it turned out to be an eye-opening experience that I will cherish for a lifetime. One of the things that I appreciated the most was the opportunity to meet new people and develop networking skills within a work environment. Multotec Rubber provided a supportive environment that allowed me to grow and learn at my own pace, and the team was always willing to help me with anything I needed. I would like to express my gratitude to Thembisile Mvemve, who gave me the chance to be part of this life-changing experience. I am forever grateful for her guidance and encouragement. I look forward to utilising the skills and knowledge that I gained to contribute to the industry in the future.
