The IOQNZ Conference 2025 ended on a high, with Multotec proudly receiving the AJ & RJ Loader Shield for Best Exhibitor. A moment that celebrates our team’s hard work, dedication, and the true spirit of Multotec.
Three days of strategic engagement and market growth in New Zealand
The Institute of Quarrying New Zealand (IOQNZ) Conference 2025 proved to be more than just another industry event — it marked the beginning of something big for Multotec in the region. With a powerful combination of strategic presence, strong team engagement, and standout product focus, Multotec not only drew significant attention from industry professionals but also walked away with the prestigious “Best Exhibitor” award.
Day 1: Laying the foundation for success
The Multotec stand was up and running in record time, thanks to the introduction of new display boxes, which streamlined the setup process. Our booth was ideally positioned next to the entrance leading to the conference hall, ensuring maximum visibility as all delegates passed by our stand en route to the event sessions.
Traffic to the stand was impressive, with 20–30 delegates engaging directly with the team to discuss screening media solutions, particularly ISEFLEX. The response was immediate: 3–4 delegates returned for on-the-spot quotes, and several follow-ups were recorded. Sponsoring the conference lunch also allowed Multotec to position banners prominently — a strategic move that kept the brand top of mind throughout the day.
Day 2: Momentum builds
With only two-thirds of the delegates present on day 1, the second day saw a surge in attendance and enquiries. As expected, the high-traffic booth continued to draw attention, and the team fielded extensive interest in ISEFLEX, WS2.10, and Sensoteq technologies.
Multiple site representatives requested follow-ups and site visits, a sign of real traction in the market. The day wrapped up with a relaxed happy hour session, where informal discussions turned into serious business. Many delegates committed to returning the next day to advance their interest.
Day 3: Quality over quantity
While foot traffic tapered on the final day, the quality of interactions remained high. With most operators back at work, it was clear that the decision-makers were now in the room. One delegate raised a purchase order for external chute patches on the spot, while additional 5–6 high-value enquiries were added to our follow-up list.
A noteworthy development came from an NSW Quarry Manager who had travelled across from Australia, expressing interest in Multotec’s offering and opening the door for potential growth across the Tasman.
Recognition and appreciation
The event ended on a high with Multotec recognised as “Best Exhibitor” — a testament to the team’s professionalism, energy, and alignment throughout.
A big thank you to everyone who made it a success: Pearl Pillay for seamless export/import logistics; Eleanor Galuvao and the stores team for ensuring smooth packing and returns; Scott Newton, Marc Barraclough, Geoff McGaw, and Chris East for strong market engagement; and the MSA marketing team for impactful, aligned branding.
A big step forward IOQNZ 2025 was more than a branding exercise — it affirmed Multotec’s commitment to the New Zealand market. With quality leads, strong product interest, and growing visibility, we’ve laid a solid foundation for future growth.
