On Monday the 13th of March 2023, Multotec’c representatives, Salamina Khambule, Isaac Matlala, Kelly Bernhardt, Lindiwe Tlali and Lindiwe Kabini visited Marikana Primary School to officially handover a jungle gym to the grade Rs. The jungle gym aims to make the school more enjoyable for them.
The school has 215 grade R learners who come from nearby villages which include Marikana West, RDP section, Mmaditlhokwana, Braampie, Mahumapelo, and Karee.
At Multotec, we believe that playing is fundamental to the growth and development of children. We are proud to have been able to give back to the school which has been an integral part of the community of Marikana in the North West. The jungle gym will allow children to have fun and learn at the same time.
Kgalatlowe High School
Multotec and “Education is our Future” introduced a Library and Science Lab in a very much-needed school, Kgalatlowe High School.
Kgalatlowe High School is located in Motlhabe Village, which is 84 km from Rustenburg. The school receives learners from 12 surrounding villages, some of them coming from child-headed families, while others have been left under the care of grandmothers. On the day of the opening, we were entertained by the choir, drama and cultural performances from the learners.
Multotec Services Managing Director, Garth Jones, advised the learners that for them to be successful, they need to work hard, have the right attitude, and respect those around them. The school principal, Mam Mabula, mentioned that since receiving the library and science lab, they have noticed great improvements, especially in reading. She has high hopes that one day there will be great leaders that come from the school. The school’s previous years’ matric results were as follows:
This year, they are preparing learners for a 100 % pass rate.
