BRENT COMBRINCK
Process Engineer, Multotec Manufacturing

Battery Minerals have developed into a critical commodity in the last 20 years. They form the base for our battery technologies and have forced us to create and optimise their various flowsheets. Lithium, Cobalt, and Nickel have been the three most relevant and important minerals in this field of expertise. Multotec recently hosted an event focused on these precious commodities. The Battery Minerals workshop was the 3rd in a series of workshops hosted this year. The exciting thing is that professional engineers (in South Africa) are now able to apply for CPD points for having attended our workshops. Multotec has built a strong reputation for providing quality workshops and offering content from a diverse spectrum of presenters. This workshop included guest speakers from Siebtechnik-Tema in Germany, Multotec - Australia, Pesco - RSA, and Clean TeQ - Australia. 231 people attended one of the two sessions, which were repeated to allow of attendees across different time-zones. 140 different customers were represented from 15 countries. These workshops also have a good reputation from the academic fraternity. Students from 10 universities in 4 different countries attended. We look forward to presenting another series of exceptional workshops in 2023.
