Graduation Ceremony 2021 - Celebrating our learners!

Learner at Multotec Rubber Press Shop Polymer Compound Manufacturing 
Being in this learnership has been a very good experience. I have learnt a lot from it and even got some work experience. I was at Multotec Rubber, a male-dominated sector and people questioned what a small girl like me was doing there. Women should not have the mindset that there are things we cannot do. These small hands can do whatever men can do!
I am appreciative for this opportunity and hope that all of us have learnt something new. Being part of this learnership really improved my skills and work performance. We also got so much support from those at Multotec, from the managers to the rest of the staff.

As an external learner I thought that it was going to be harder to participate. But, through the spirit of ‘Ubuntu’, that lives within Multotec employees, it felt like home from the very first day of class.
It has been the greatest privilege to be selected for this learnership as it gave me both a qualification and experience from a highly respected and recommended company. I have learnt a lot from this learnership, as well as gained emotional support, kindness, caring and love, to name the least. I just want to show my huge appreciation to the most kind and beautiful people (Sis Thembisile and Mr Mthambama). You both have been my backbone and pillar of strength!

I work in the wedge wire department, where I started as a guillotine operator and was promoted to a team leader. As the company grew in 2019, I was promoted to production supervisor in the same department.
After my promotion I decided to upskill myself within the organisation and applied for the production technology learnership. I attended the course during the difficult COVID-19 times and still managed to complete it. I now know more about how to face the challenges regarding my job and overcome them!
