Multotec Botswana recently attended the prestigious Local Manufacturing Summit in Botswana. The event, held in Gaborone, brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the future of manufacturing in the region.
As a key participant, Multotec showcased its current local manufacturing capabilities as well as future manufacturing ambitions, highlighting its commitment to supporting the growth and development of Botswana’s manufacturing capabilities.
Botswana is rich in mineral resources, including diamonds, copper, nickel, and coal. However, the country faces challenges in maximising the value of these resources.
The Local Manufacturing Summit provided a platform for Multotec to engage with local stakeholders, share knowledge, and explore opportunities for collaboration. Through these collaborations, Multotec aims to support the development of a sustainable and thriving sector in Botswana.
Multotec was honoured to have the President of Botswana, His Excellency Mokgweetsi Masisi, visit our stand. Our General Manger, James Phagane, also had the privilege of conducting two interviews: one with the Botswana Chamber of Mines and another with Botswana's first local station, YTV.
Multotec’s participation in the summit underscores our commitment to empowering the local industry and contributing to the growth of Botswana’s economy. By providing innovative solutions and expertise, Multotec is helping build a stronger, more resilient mineral processing and manufacturing sector in the region.
