One of our biggest customers, Phola coal mine, requested 2x CLG and 1x HG ox to be tiled with IP01 and P02 tiles. With great effort from our stores personnel, Cordelia Child and our business partner, Marie Williamson from MWL, we were able to obtain enough IP01 tiles for this job. The tiling team started tiling on Friday, 6 December 2019 and by Tuesday, 17 December 2019 the work was complete.
Fritz Joubert, from Phola coal, did inspections on two occasions and was extremely satisfied with the work done. Not only did the team have this huge project to complete speedily, we had a request from MWL to assist with tiling of 42 pipes for them, which our team completed in a very short space of time.
Middelburg don’t let any obstacles get in the way. Middelburg’s delivery truck was in for repairs over this period and we had to beg, borrow and steal for transport and thanks to Charles Kirk of Logistics, we were able to get spares to Middelburg on time for this work to be completed.
Renier Nel heads the tiling team in the workshop and has proven to be more than capable. He was on leave at the time that the work was awarded to the Middelburg branch, but this did not stop him from coming in over a weekend to supervise tiling work. Quinton Lockem is the Field Service Supervisor, who also gave more than his pound of flesh for this work to be completed satisfactorily and on time. Walter Netshiozwi, the Supervisor, has also proven to be a huge asset to Multotec.
A special word of thanks to the team members for their outstanding work and dedication:
