Multotec's Dedication Rewarded: ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Certifications Achieved
Multotec, an industry leader, has achieved the esteemed ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications after a rigorous three-year process. This is a remarkable feat that demonstrates the company’s commitment to excellence in occupational health, safety, and environmental management.
Both ISO 45001:2017 and ISO 14001:2015 are international standards that specify the requirements for managing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Environmental (ENV) aspects, respectively. Multotec had already established a strong OHS system before seeking certification, which met the relevant criteria. However, implementing an ENV system was a new and significant challenge for the company.
These certifications reflect our commitment to addressing the global challenges of safety and environmental sustainability. We aim to minimise our environmental impact, enhance our employees’ well-being, and implement effective waste management strategies.
A Rigorous Certification Process
Multotec initiated the certification process in September 2021 by undergoing a Stage 1 audit. TUV, an independent auditing body, examined Multotec’s safety and environmental systems documentation and found them satisfactory. As a result, TUV approved Multotec for the Stage 2 certification, which Multotec successfully completed in February 2023.
During the Stage 2 audit phase, a team of four auditors from TUV conducted a thorough on-site evaluation of Multotec's systems to verify their compliance with the stipulated standards. After the comprehensive assessment, Multotec was granted the auditors' Certification Recommendation. Subsequently, the audit findings were submitted to TUV Germany for meticulous review before the ultimate certification approval was conferred.
This accomplishment stands as a testament to the substantial dedication demonstrated by all parties involved in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our systems.
