The customer experienced some issues with a sieve bend housing that was supplied; the customer was unable to close the flow control liner on the inside of the unit. The flow control liner is a rubber-lined plate that can be adjusted to restrict the flow of the material over the sieve to ensure an equal flow depth of material across the width of the unit. The flow control liner is locked in position on a sliding locking bracket on the outside of the housing.
The customer wanted to be able to completely close the flow of the material over the sieve bend. The slot of the sliding locking bracket was not long enough to completely shut the flow as required and the customer approached us for a solution.
It was suggested that we replace the current flow control liner with a new flow control bend in the plate to allow the client to close the flow of the material.
A new sliding locking bracket was made to increase the movement of the existing flow control liner. The sliding locking bracket is fixed to the outside of the housing with two M12 bolts. The new bracket was made and bolted to the housing in place of the original bracket. The flow control liner can now be adjusted to close the liner completely.
