SSM Motor of the Month: June 2021
Thabo Simon Kutumela joined Multotec in 2019 and has since brought a fresh perspective and a sound work ethic to our team at SSM. His drive for excellence and error-free output has also helped in him learning both product and processes quickly, as he is not afraid to ask uncomfortable questions. A true team player, Thabo often goes the full mile to ensure that his part is done to the best of his ability before it’s passed on to the next phase, mitigating any comebacks. Thabo’s core functions include ensuring that all site personnel are compliant and that we meet client’s strict safety requirements. He also ensures that the products in after-sales are accurately co-ordinated and delivered to our clients efficiently.
With the current planning position still vacant in SSM After Sales, April’s invoicing of over R9 million in spares would not have been possible without the crucial effort put in by Thabo, who took on more than we thought possible. With the cooperation of his teammates, he was able to deliver on promises made, juggling his normal day-to-day work, as well as take on a huge chunk of the execution in the absence of a planner. This is the reason Thabo was nominated as the April 2021 Motor of the Month. We extend gratitude to Thabo, for giving more than is expected. He is a crucial asset to his team, and to Multotec.
