Promoted from packer to supervisor
Victor started working at Multotec in 2018 as a packer in the IMR department. He was promoted to packaging supervisor in August 2021. He attended the Production Technology L3 learnership during 2020.
“I became a different person from the day I started the learnership programme. That is when I realised that I am not only working for money, but I must also be proactive and leave my mark on everything that I do,” Victor explains.
As a packer, when the packaging area was not busy, he assisted machine operators and the packaging supervisor.
“Now I’m the packaging supervisor! The Multotec learnership programme gave me the knowledge and confidence to do this. I started to see things differently and made sure that I applied everything I learned in class,” he says.
