Dear Customers
We certainly find ourselves in challenging times and the global Covid-19 pandemic is giving us the opportunity of modifying the way we do business across the world. We are encouraged by the proactive approach taken by many governments to curb the impact of the disease and to protect the economic sustainability of all our businesses.
Multotec is a global company with operations in Canada, Chile, Australia, Europe, China, Ghana, Zambia, Botswana, Mozambique and South Africa, from which we service customers on six continents. As the leadership of Multotec, we are committed to respecting any Covid-19 lockdown regulations that may have been instituted in any of these countries but please be assured that we continue to provide full technical and sales support, in as far as possible and using various means, to all our customers, wherever they may be.
In certain countries, some mining and power generation operations have been declared by their governments as essential services and we are providing full product and service support to these customers from our local bases in these locations.
The safety of our staff and customers is an absolute priority and every precaution is being taken to ensure the continued health of all our stakeholders. All staff entering customer sites will abide by prescribed Multotec sanitising protocols as well as customer or site-specific protocols.
Our manufacturing facilities in China are fully operational while our facilities in Canada, Chile and Australia are in various stages of operational capacity. In South Africa we are currently in lockdown, with the exception of the production of “essential services” products – but we expect to return to full production from 17 April, 2020. We have committed to working on weekends and over public holidays over the next months to ensure that any backlog in orders are caught up and that there is the least possible disruption.
Our field service and maintenance teams are operating in all countries in accordance with country-specific government regulations and customer requirements. Our movements between countries are being defined by cross border regulations
We are engaging with all our suppliers to ensure that they are able to support our production and distribution requirements over the next few months.
All our technical experts, product specialists and sales staff are fully available to offer assistance to our global customer base. We have taken world-wide travel restrictions as an opportunity to run online training workshops with many customers in remote locations. These workshops are being run in multiple languages and are available on request.
We are fully aware that these circumstances are bringing new challenges to your operations, so we remain available to you and your employees if you need any technical support.
Information about our total product and services offering are available on our website and many informative training videos are also available on our YouTube channel: Multotec Group.
Multotec’s administrative services around the world are all functional whether on-site or remotely. We are fully capable of processing all enquiries and providing technical support, quoting on projects and processing of orders.
We are continuously monitoring and expanding our action plans to minimise delays in the delivery of products and services to our customers and the safeguarding of our people and the areas in which we operate.
We wish you the best and please keep safe. We will keep you informed of any operational changes that may evolve over the coming weeks.
